I've Just Learned to become Numb to the Pain

I've just learned to become numb to the pain Wonder, Sometimes I wonder how I will maintain This cruel world that causes so much pain Things become so mundane Folks forget that there are greater things. I've just learn to become numb to the pain Talk, They scandalize my name See things in a small frame Look at the big picture Realize we all can have fame I've just learned to become numb to the pain Roll, Roll with the punches Let the church roll on I'm a roll either way Forward not back That's not my track I've just learned to become numb to the pain Time, Time stops for no man But time must be taken out To see what life is truly about Folks tried to clout me with doubt I've just learned to become numb to the pain Think, Nobody pays me to think But it pays to think Life can change in a blink People want me to sink I've just learned to become numb to the pain Bottom, I've fallen and hit rock bottom Down there like bum But I was not dumb Looked in the mirror mighty handsome Got myself some income Felt fearsome Citizens got gruesome I've just learned to become numb to the pain Dream, Laugh at my dreams While you're busy laughing and dreaming I'm working and achieving I keep on believing Thank Him for the blessing I'm receiving I've just learned to become numb to the pain Cut, Cut me with your words They have been heard, before But I'm not scared to open the door I know what's in store I know who I'm working for Do I need more? I've just learned to become numb to the pain Down, Down but not out I know my route Willing to fight Weeping may endure for a night But I see the morning light I've just learned to become numb to the pain Love, I had Heart aches but not heart breaks My joy you can not take I knew you were fake Go head eat your cake Cause mine you did not make I've just learned to become numb to the pain Tylenol, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, can not ease So I got down on my knees Said bless my enemies As tease, with their theories Them I will not please I've just learned to become numb to the pain Relief, I was there at the throne of mercy There with my unbelief There in deep contrition I found my sweet relief I've just learned to become numb to the pain Sustain, With Him I can sustain The joy that He brings The love that He's casting I'm glad my God is everlasting. I've just learned to become numb to the pain
