I've Never Met Perfection

I have lived for 18 years,

and I've never met anyone who is perfect...

According to most.

I've met people who are

Tired

Broken

Poor

Beaten

Bruised

and so damn brave.

They live every day like a warrior

They know the value that a day can hold.

Their hands are plows,

their feet daggers.

They fight for everything.

To me, they are perfect.

To me, my scars are perfect.

Being able to love regardless of gender

To me

Is perfect.

I have lived 18 years,

and I have seen nothing

But perfect.
