I've Never Seen the Sun Rise or Set

I've never watched the sun rise
I've never watched the sun set
Though, I've caught glimpses of cotton candy pinks seeping into wildly untamed oranges
Then signing
In a harmonious tune of passionate reds slipping into joyous yellows
Only to eventually fall into emerald greens,
I've never seen these dancing hues meld together
Evolving into the bright blue, sunny sky
Or how they dissipate into the vastly blank, black imagination
Despite it happening twice a day
14 times a week
56 times a month
672 times a year
Over the course of seventeen years--
I've never seen the sun rise or set
