Ivy

I am supposed to soak it up

and be grateful for it.

Because I'm lucky to get water at all.

I am told water is good for me.

I am not to hide from the rain.

And I don't,

but it's still hard to take,

and the rain doesn't allow me to share.

I am told to just breathe.

I am doing just fine.

Even when I don't want to at all.

And this is alright.

I am too far in now to complain.
