I’LL BE WATCHING YOU
I dream at night, I can only see your face
I look around, but it's you I can't replace
So many people come
and go
So many people
I forgot
I got over
in a matter of weeks
Yet you haunt
me
Your face present in every dream
Dreams
where we live a
happy ending
When you’re not picking others
over me
Yet Im left cold
Longing
for your
embrace
How my poor heart aches
With every step you take?
Every time I think
we're moving
forward
For every
inch
For every
step
You
send us spiraling back
Down the staircase
of whatever you call this
Why can’t
you
choose me
I’m left with this
sickening feeling
A
twisted
heart ache
You want my love
But
not my presence
in your life
Every smile you fake
Every claim you stake
You claim to do better
And I believe
you
Sometimes I wonder
Am I
a burden
Maybe
your
chore
Yet you stake
your
claim on my heart
Fleeting smiles
Now feel fake
Every breath you take
I can’t resist to still imagine your lips touch mines
Every bond you break
Makes my heart crumble and want to resent you
Every step you take
Yet I still sit reminiscing every moment knowing no matter if you go-
I'll be watching you
Process Note:I love 80s music its been such a big part of my life and healing from the troubling
processses of my life. So I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to use one of my fav songs

The album as well was reference for the coloring idea.

▾ This Poem's Voice
Your Poem's Voice
Deeply personal heartbreak and unrequited love, autobiographical emotional experience.
Multiple overlapping ideas: obsession, rejection, self-doubt, hope. Dense emotional content.
Predominantly anguished, despairing, with moments of yearning but no genuine positivity.
Urgent, obsessive repetition and escalating emotional intensity; restless pacing.
Approximately 28 lines; falls in 16-30 range.
Metaphors (staircase, crumble), personification (heart aches), rich sensory imagery.
Pure lyric first-person internal voice; direct emotional confession without dramatic distance.
