I’m my own seed

I am my own seed

I grow my own fruit and I taste my own way.

I was planted by someone else,

But that doesn't mean I didn't grow on my own.

I endured harsh winds, hot summers, and cold winters.

I still made fruit, bright and juicy fruit.

you wouldn't know what I endured to make that fruit,

you just care about how it tastes when it's grown.

You didn't even give me water or sumshine,

but look at me now.

I am an independent tree, surviving through it all
