Jack and Jill (And the Kill)

Jack was not looking

He thought Jill was still cooking

When he went to the well for the water

He was surprised

To find Jill outside

And never guessed she was there for slaughter

Jill always had the desire to kill

So she pushed her brother down the hill

She blankly stared at her work

Then tumbled down after

Echoing her laughter

And that’s when she went completely beserk

Jack and Jill

At the bottom of the hill

Were no longer as they had been born

One was now dead

Because the other was not right in the head

They’re unbreakable bond had been torn

Jill returned upwards

As below swooped the birds

Descending on her brother’s warm body

When her mother found out

Jill did not pout

Instead she sent up a plea

“Please God return my brother

Even though he was such a bother.

Jack meant so much to me

He’s the pod to me pea

And the sky to my sea

I can’t live without him hereafter.”
