Jade Hatred

In a land of old Laid in cold Two travelers who wanted gold Two men that are bold On a dark night A horseman makes it flight Against the two travelers He was not going to give up without a fight The horseman died His horse rides But only leaves on the ground A gem of jade and light “I’ll keep it for myself” Says one "We should see where the light leads us” Says the other The quarrel between the two is heated up With their swords unsheathed Parrying and dodging An explosion of light triggers The gem rolls away Like a missing coin from a purse The two travelers chase it Hoping the gem chooses their needs Tree after tree Rock after rock The gem kept rolling Hoping it would return to its owner The sun shines The gem finds Not an owner But its tower Jade Tower it’s called Old princes and kings hailed from here Destroyed by bandits and barbarians A light dims Two travelers Huffing and puffing Reaches upon the tower Curiosity Reaching upon the gem “This place has a curse to its name” Says one “Fairy tales” Says the other “The gem we were chasing was created by the first king who dwelled here” “With this gem, he stored his inner hatred after his family was executed” “With this “hatred” he used this against his enemies” “Crushing everyone” “But no king rules forever” “Pierced by an arrow” “Buried in a barrow” “Wished for his weapon to be destroyed” “His heir traveled up to the mountain” “Threw it down its cellar” “The end of an era” “Fairy tales” Says the other “You will not get in my way” “Neither a fool king or the gods themselves” “I want power” Goes up to the gem Stares into the jade A light is shown again A voice speaks “He wants it for himself” “Kill him” “Start a new reign” Lunges to his friend Before the knife to slashed Lightning and thunder Of green, comes down at last A body drops to the ground A gem is shattered A ghost appears Talks of cheer “That horseman was foolish of riding” Says the ghost “Your friend was stupid of trying” “My hatred is destroyed” “I kept this gem to test” “Who would resist the best?” “You my friend, passed” “The other two, would suffer” The gem explodes Turing into coins of wealth The light Goes back in the sky “Well, time to go home” The lone traveler walked home with success
