Jai Nepal

Half way through the sky

I notice that the woman beside me was kissed by darkness

And suddenly I feel the need to stay up

As though she might ask about the clouds

And I might say "visually they’re like cotton balls, but realistically they’re as thin as smoke."

Sadly realizing she hasn't seen any of these,

Or she might ask

If the man who keeps going out of his way

Likes her or just pity's her

And I might say

“It's not about the sight even those of us with it can never tell.”

I want to tell her I'm looking for God

But I'm scared she will tell me his not there

I'm scared she will say she has been searching all through darkness.

Instead she asks about America,

Wishes she could go back

My media manipulated minded is surprised she has ever been.

She says despite my eyes I want to feel it all

And suddenly I pity myself

Me with all the sight, but constant limitations.
