Jake
Dear Jake,
I'm sorry I was always so mean,
Your fate I could have never forseen.
You didn't deserve the way I treated you,
And I'm really sorry it's true.
We used to fight like crazy,
But now my memory of you is getting hazy.
So sudden was your death,
That you barely had time to take your last breath.
I'm sorry you had to leave your family alone,
If only they would have known.
I am really sorry, too, for being so cruel,
Back then I was truely a fool.
You were hard headed and had a sharp tounge,
But you had a big heart and you were just so young.
Its so sad to think you will never graduate,
Or lead your team to state.
Jake, my life changed when you died,
I realized how terrible I was and I felt awful inside.
So I changed who I am,
And damn.
I started to love instead of hate,
And it has been seriously great.
I'm sorry it took your death to see that I was wrong,
But thank you so much for making me so strong.
I wish I could appologize,
And you could forgive me of all those lies.
This story says it all,
Sometimes its best to turn away from a brawl.
Jale if I could see you one last time,
I would have told you this very rhyme.
Love,
Ruthie
