Every tear drop, every heart stop

every moonlit dance

every whisper, every slow kiss

caused a fallen romance

every minute of my time

i spend with you

i see a happiness in a future that's untrue

but i keep telling myself these lies

to keep the tears from falling out of my eyes

because theres no easy way to tell you

i could never be the one you wanted

i am not the girl who was hiding in your head

i maybe have held your hand

and captured your heart

but who are we trying ton fool

we crossed our finish line

at the start
