Jason K. Lachenmeier

Every time I close my eyes I see your face, Why can’t I erase those wonderful memories when I am tired of crying? I just want to get some sleep I know you’re in your final resting place. But still there are days when there is no way I can grab a tissue Without thinking of you. If only there was some cure to bring you back to me So I could tell you all the things that were supposed to be. I’m dying inside and it’s not your fault You’re in a better place now please don’t default We all miss you But you know what they say is true You’re selfish because the worst person took you I wish I could continue where you left off But I need you to take these memories and lift off Go above and live your afterlife how you planned Don’t let me get in the way of where you stand. Keep going on to what was meant to be. I’ll just stay down here till you’re ready for me Because you see I feel I’m ready but I’m sure you’ll reach down, Help me figure out when it’s my turn. I love with you with all my heart And I still can’t believe we had to part.
