Jazz Concert

This is the celebration of life Where delicate mist drifts Consuming you in a dream, Covering you in a haze of cool. Sounds explode, pound, and swell. Fireworks of jazz, Shocks of syncopation Stimulate your heart. Each song is a story, Note after note stretching, straining your heartstrings. Tears caress your cheek As you hear a broken heart. But then-- Your ears pull your lips into a grin. Colors are brighter. Life is flooded in shining, sparkling light. You are confident. You are exuberant. Congas call your hips. Trumpets seduce you to samba. Saxophones wail for you to work it. Shout to the sky! Your feet have a mind of their own. They play and flirt with the floor. They swirl you through the night; Music sweeps you away in its arms. This is the sound of fellowship; The melody of man; The song of the soul Speaking to you.
