The Jealous Devil

It is full of boast; And takes a hold to any host. It runs and spreads like fire. And it is determined to aspire. Leaving behind a bitter trail; Comes with it, a scorch tale. Making even a vicious act seem noble It can be hard to see it’s ignoble. You will feel truly powerful, But to others you will be harmful; Deadly like a snake’s venomous poison, However know this, you were not chosen. You know, you were pure, once. But this disease does not make you a dunce. What you want, will not always be given, However if you seek the righteous, you might be forgiven. If what you seek is not yours to take; Then don’t, for you will be known as a “fake”. This, my friend, is what they call Jealousy, Which leads you down the road to ecstasy. Things must fall apart for greater things to fall together. But know that you are not alone through this stormy weather. This feeling is nothing compared to that of love, If you seek that then, this, you must get rid of. Heed my words, for they will make you very wise. And whatever truth you hide, will eventually arise. Take it from someone who is not to be judged by his eyes. Don’t be fooled, love. I’m the devil in disguise...
