Jermaine's Dispute

Do you love me yet? All my life its seems I've pleaded for acceptance You foolishly made decisions with me and I cry that I'll go harder before you seem to regret them Do you love me yet? Drivin and drivin, your approval the only thing I'd be able to identify with And so I bend over backwards, wouldn't care if I break I feel I owe you for no one else would ever cherish a mistake Do you love me yet? Time goes by I only fear more of being attached I'll push the fine dining away like its just scraps I'm used to being empty and the hunger, I've only identified with that but... Do you love me yet? Burdens of a hard man, but emotions of a child's Wanting happiness, only thing clouding intuition is fear of the darkness and the wiles Question if I provide the darkness myself, shadow my own heart, poor man surrounded by wealth Do you love me yet? It can seem hard to believe, that the one that pushed you the most seems to be the one that's most harmed by thought of the leave But he questions if you love him cause he doesn't know what love means Maybe he does but he's scared to give his whole heart due to remembrance of how it bleeds Possibly making life harder than it seems But he'd rather drop it than let himself fall in the sea, Left alone again with no boat again, storm raging and lost with no land able to see Do you love me yet? Hearing insecurities of myself you probably wouldn't, you probably shouldn't, and honestly you probably couldn't Don't know if I'm speaking to the future or the past, just know it probably isn't you, issues of how long it'll last Enjoy the ride but evacuate before the near certain crash If for some reason you decided to go on past, the unforgiving road in a vehicle that seems to be going nowhere fast I might still question love I'll try not to sting, but please be prepared for the buzz I question everyday if I'm ever enough So if you decide to hitch a ride, because you truly love me inside, I ask please do not mind the weary question of... Do you love me yet?
