Jersey Strong

"Hurricane warning", they say. Like hundreds of previous summer days.

Evacuation madatory, but many think to stay.

The water rises up.. well maybe we should leave.

The shore is demolished by Halloween Eve.

We beg to get in as the police keep us back.

For the next 3 months, power and running water we lacked.

Slowly but surely homes were cleared, but for every home ruined we shed many tears.

The dash to recover gave fame to the shore and the number of tourists increased by thousands more.

The most affected homes will be serviced yearlong, but the remaining restoration proves us Jersey Strong.
