Jewel

At but a moments glance
we shield each others treasure
such yearning desperate meaure
at no cost but priceless agony.

A stitch in time held
by anonymous figures
whom never show their faces.

Are they trapped or free?
After all, what could it be
that breaks a solid gem,
green with envy.

What runs through a min
never catches up to the beat
of seconds passing by?

It falls behind the cupboard
where no reach could summon
to withhold.

To compare in bleak observation
thy shadows, stead of light,
beautiful shadows
or contrary opinions
preferring the swim
to the fight above.
