Johan
I leave my house
At the break of dawn
Under the lightless sun
To walk down the dark
Enclosed and forgotten alleys
On the outskirts of town;
As I walk down the alley
I seem to notice an unforgotten soul
In the form of a shadow
Running and dancing
Along the walls
At the same pace as my feet;
The shadow, troubling my
Thoughts even more then before
Makes it harder for me to
Clear my mind of thoughts of Johan;
By the end of the alley my thoughts
Are still there
Almost impossible to be erased
From my mind;
And the kids just think she is on a
Long term vacation.
But she is really up there in the lifeless sky
That seems to do nothing
But actually plays a big role
In our lives;
Though she has been erased from the earth
I cannot forget about Johan;
I just hope by the time
I float up there she still
Remembers me enough to be glad when I arrive.
