Joseph Taylor

such a whirlwind

a wild soul stuck in a person at war

with himself

and you were a token

because i, myself, am shattered

i love broken

something to fix

and distract

from my own mix

we pulled and pushed

until i broke down

and you felt something

almost

but not quite

she wanted something to work out

for once

but she was a shout

and he was not a whisper

and as quickly as it struck

their fire was blown out.
