The Jounrney

The days get longer The talks get shorter Those last few moments When everything we have worked for Finally comes to its final hour That moment when we wave everyone Good bye Our Friends head their own way Down a road unknown To the land of the unknown All alone but never alone No journey is ever gone alone Our parents cry As they kiss their babies good bye We are adults now, But are forever babies in their eyes Scared of the journey we are taking Never alone, always by our side We take these steps on our own But not totally alone These people we leave behind Still a part of our lives, This journey is ours Our steps begin here.
