Journey
Haven't you seen the end?
Did you know that the stars all fell?
Did you realize that the earth stood still?
Did they tell you that the mad took over?
Did you see the canyons and the fire?
I see you roaming through the woods with a child on your back.
Do all his hopes and dreams live inside his bag?
I see your sunken heart and hollowed skin.
Your shoes are falling apart, is that blood on your shin?
Run my love, run and hide.
Don't forget your son, why does he cry?
Hold him tightly, and don't let him go.
Here they come, like snipers in a row.
But they are a friendly bunch, they will give you shelter and food my love.
Did you see the sun hiding behind the smoke?
Did you see your boat shackled in ropes?
You'll be alright, that I know.
Don't give up hope, but don't forget the truth.
I'll keep you safe, let go of your fear.
Look to the moon, soon I will be near.
Your son is now older.
You hold a staff in your hand.
Did you see the trees that blow in the wind?
Did you watch the flowers as they begin to thin?
Hold onto my hand, I will guide you through.
I'm so proud my love, of your courage and might.
Follow me dear, we can fly in the night.
Don't worry, your son will restore all of life.
