Journey

Despair oh thee girl of little love

Despair for the life you lived little of

The blinds were drawn, a mist over your eyes

But life is a fickle thing

Expectation can go down the drain

Hold it near, the pain my dear

Let it shape your world from fear

A gate once separated you from who you are

But gates fall and fate calls

You are the weak, the coveted, and the discarded

But nothing is set in stone

Prey can grow teeth

And predators can run

Don't despair child o’ mine

A sword you will become

For weapons are forged

They are made from sweat

And heat

And flame

They are made of hate

And terror

And pain

And your time will come little dear

Your time to shine

To light the world

And when it does

They’ll all burn
