The Journey

If you walk a path without a mission

The journey will never end of your own volition

Remember those who can offer you wisdom

But live your life as your own and to your own rhythm

Failures only renew your vigour

And triumphs show what else is in store

The family becomes an integral portion

To show how far you’ve come with no distortion

A constant reminder of your peregrination

Without them you couldn’t reach your salvation

Your legacy to them you must bequeath

So when your time has come you may rest beneath

As long as they remember you with a smile in kind

You’ll be able to move on with peace of mind
