The Journey

They say it’s more important than the destination.

It comes with ups and downs,

But that’s life

It helps us to discover who we are,

And who we will become;

Who we want to become.

The journey prepares us,

Even influences

Our future.

It helps us to travel

On the right road

To make our future worthwhile

When we take a different route than anyone else

To get the same future as them,

That’s a journey that’s worthwhile

That’s a journey we can tell our children,

Grandchildren,

And great grandchildren

The real question is,

When will we take the initiative

And start the journey

That will make today

A big part of who we become

Tomorrow?
