Journey of Life

The 400 milliseconds it took for your eyes to blink

Has now become your past

Once the time has left,

It is gone forever

If we were to look through the creaking window of the past

What would we see?

A time of jubilation

A time of sorrow

A time of prosperity

The footsteps we once walked

will never be walked again

All the memories we made

will just age and fade

 Time is conceptual

Can’t be held

Can’t be paused

Can’t be forwarded

Can’t  be rewinded

 Can’t be re-created

Every tick of the clock is a reminder that time is fleeting

The happy, the sad, all the moments went away

The journey of life has made its way

They say that the past is the greatest teacher

The world’s best preacher

Foreshadowing what is yet to come

But many people regret their past

the only excuse they gave is that time ran too fast

I want to live my life to the fullest

with my past guiding my future

if only one day I could look back and smile

that would make my life worthwhile

Goddess Athena

I'm 19, poetry is the story of my life. Poetry has the power to take you into an enchanted world, a place outside of the realm of reality. Explore your limits, cross your boundaries. You will discover a side of you that is unfamiliar. #powerofwords
