Journey to the river

I lay in a field of wet grass

as a thousand words pound through my head

my thoughts are full of this and thats and if and buts

nearby I hear a river

slowly like a snail I begin my climb to the river

as I gaze upon the river I feel amazed

for like a poem

it flows so beautifully as gravity pulls it down the hill

for a poem to us is like a river to nature

both carry away the things we wish to drift away

and both are things so beautifully gazed upon.
