Joy, Like a Boat

Joy is like a boat

Through rain and shine it stays afloat

Whatever weather may appear

Whatever strong winds come to peer

The boat moves forward and indeed

All that is behind it does not succeed

In bogging down the boat's intent

Though on the way there may be dents

All is overcome when the shore is reached

Though a life-time it may seem
