Joy Time Bomb

What if, what if

You were afraid of what you ask maybe

just the simplest of things

to smile, to love, to give

to be who you truly are

to be scared to actually live

what if you let fear control you like you let everything else

what if you had control of your happiness on every future day

what if you weren't scared of being happy

what if you set aside all the being weary

your life is a ticking time bomb if like me you are afraid to be alive.

What if, what if

i'm still afraid, but i'm learning to live.

I take control of what i can, i can't control what happens

i can only control how i respond.

What if, what if

I don't want to be a joy ticking time bomb, so I am not.    -D.K.P
