Joyful Misery

I have butterflies

Fluttering about inside me.

They tingle and tickle

And sometimes make me giggle.

It feels like bubbles popping

And my screams aren't dropping.

For the pain is great

While in this state.

Though I stay silent and polite,

I still cry myself to sleep at night.
