JP Huling
I regret not having had the chance to know you as well as the rest,
but you still hold a great place in all of our hearts.
You wanted to keep us safe, ...all of us safe,
not just us but the nation as a whole,
to defend our freedom, it was for us, JP Huling,
that you paid the ultimate price,
and for this we give you unending thanks.
It was Mother's Day when you came back home,
when you were carried off and Taps was heard,
the tears fell heavier from our eyes, all of our eyes.
A lot were flowing from the eyes I've never seen cry,
Crying not just from our eyes but from all of our hearts,
for the physical loss of you, a true American hero.
My father was one, i don't think he ever shed a tear till then,
he served and felt a much deeper understanding.
Tears were falling down from heaven too,
tears of joy because there was an amazing new angel joining them.
So to JP Huling, our fallen hero, our fallen friend,
we thank you with all our beings for all you have done.
And to JP Huling our risen angel
we ask you to please continue to protect us and keep us safe.
