Judge the momentum

Matthew 10:28                       New English Translation

28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Satire: Step on someone

Where are my real values and how are they defined?

Are they based on my thoughts and private interpretation?

Maybe the way I seem always influenced from the outside

Is it not regularly that the world imposes itself in degradation?

The rulers of this world supply constant pressure

And try to mold me into a clone after their “will”

The sad part of it all is that it is by their own measure

They fill me with overflowing pride as that gets instilled

Anchored then in selfishness and so justifying about al I do

Absorbed in my worldly environment forgetting the “hereafter”

There is no denying that I feel far beyond the detrimental “fall”

I’m now promoted as the ruler of my “own” life. Yep! The master?

I will fit in God somehow, possibly at my own chosen level

He should be glad that I pay and shower Him some attention

I am a Christian you know and I am appointed to the “true” level

My bubble stays in the middle and I’m filled with admiration

I am standing tall you know even when I am landing flat on my face

I am still looking straight forward although staring into the ground

Heaven is where I long to go, so I’ll buy a part of it, to build my place

Since I am down there I’ll dig a little deeper until that treasure is found

It is not just a “fall” to me, but an opportunity in a different position?

When I am down, but not out, will I be trampled by the ones like me?

It does not feel too good, but I will take it a compliment in my transition

For I trampled on so many myself and really that made me feel free

Now I will get up quickly so I can trample myself on some others

Wow! I can’t get up! Let me climb on the backs of the ones time forgot

Now I am repeating my ways from the past I don’t care or they smother

On the way back to the top since I’m the leader of the pack. Wow! It’s hot
