July 14

That night you told me “I’ll be alright.”

That night you told me “I’m gonna fight.”

That night you told me “I won’t go to the light.”

That night you told me “Baby, the future is bright.”

But why is that night the last night we spoke?

The next time I saw you, you had lost hope.

So what happen to what you told me?

That night is the reason there is now an “old me”

You were my world. But my world has become shattered.

As of now graduation day does not even matter.

Since you left me, nothing has been the same.

I feel numb, a different kind of pain.
