July Teachings
Under my wing I took you
Taught you everything current and repressed within me
Gave you material I did not need
So your mistakes in life would not seem so apparent
You are silly and confused
I take all of your sins and stuff them
Away from spiritual eyes
But you learn things and repeat things
So cunning you have become
I take claim of your iniquities and suffer with them
Legs crossed I protect pleasures between my legs
Your intentions are distasteful
My body knows you from past visit
Associated with counterfeit compliments cheaply worn
I reached for your hand
You did not grasp
Cold and hurt your touch of warmth
Would have taken me to a
Summer morning in July
And saved me from winter’s heart
