I am music

I am the note in the alto clef that awaits to be played

I am the quarter rest that patiently waits to hear the rest of the sonata

I am the bow that glides on upon the strings; brushing every strand, molecule, and atom to create wonderful notes

I am the viola producing the jolly music

I am the thin finger that touches the strings to change the key of the notes

I am the the shoulder rest that brings comfort to the player

I am the peg making sure that the viola always remains in tune

I am the crisp string that never loses its resonance

I am the player that becomes one with the viola
