I'm Junubi, A land of black origin with stories to tell A land with blessings and curses as well Junubi is a mother that nurture with passionate tenderness But who cares much on political awareness I'm a little forlorn lad within the motherland Who has seen and witness much ravages that took lives in the land Junubi is me, an inept me that has nowhere to turn to Am in a dilemma of choices; where to and who to? Here's me today, in an incongruous situation A view that I couldn't fit in and spot my direction Things have changes; me in a surrealism and felt abandoned Junub, my mother, is no longer taking any upbringing My path has started becoming coarse and rough with thorns Bitterness within me tears me apart and leaving no bones The best of my life is only to keep crying Mourning the things I see, death days after days of dying West dying, South dying, North lives keep perishing East, women and children in agony, no sound condemning The core, is at a mess too, useless fight of words become an anthem Here, the mother is crying everyday and no one is yearning for them The earth is diminishing on my sight Am losing family, friends, siblings, no light Tears that flows days and nights filled the oceans pouring heavily It's ending with me in a few seconds leaving me homelessly The laughter and smiles, I normally had have perished Joy within me is dying and my heart hold no more pleasure pressed People have started mocking me and jeering at me Am motherless, Junub, my mom abandoned me
