Just Like That
And just like that it's gone.
That moment, that fleeting second
When everything felt right and nothing felt wrong
But just like that it's gone.
That time has passed and suddenly
Everything feels wrong and nothing feels right.
You can't get a grip.
It's like nothing is working out for you.
But let me tell you something.
It will.
Maybe not now, but soon.
Be patient.
One day everything will fall into place
And before you know it
Everything will feel right and nothing will ever feel wrong again.
Because it happened.
Because you kept going.
Because you never gave up.
Because the fire inside of you burned a heck of a lot brighter than the fire around you.
Because that fire didn't burn out.
And just like that
That fleeting moment is back
But it's no longer fleeting.
It's remaining, withstanding, and ever-present.
And just like that
You'll never feel like you're on the bottom again.
