Just Another Droplet
Just another Droplet
I am merely a droplet in an ocean of people
Going wherever the current should take me
Just a droplet trying to keep above
Not letting the undertow of depression drag me down into darkness
Trying to keep afloat
Occasionally finding myself in a riptide of problems
I’ve gone through hurricanes of hatred
I’ve sunk to rock bottom
Struggled to find a way to float back to the top
I’ve been part of a monsoon, the cause of mass destruction
I’ve found myself on cloud nine
Then moments later hurdling towards earth
Landing in an oasis
Offering relief and assistance to wondering travelers in need
Only to relive a cycle much like this one time and time again
It’s a cycle i couldn’t seem to escape
I grew weary and tired of this cycle
So when I fell I aimed for a small fire
I was just a drop, alone in an ocean of people
Some time passed and i found some like minded drops
I now reside in a small puddle outside of Warped
Coinciding with what have become my closest friends
I don’t have that great an importance to anyone other than to those in my puddle
I am simply a droplet
I offer relief to those in need
I go wherever the current we call should choose to throw me
So you ask me who I am, what makes me me
This is my life, who I am
I am a mere droplet in a very small puddle
