Just Another Friend

I guess I’m not the dating type You’ve made that very clear Still every time you say those words I cry a little tear I wanna be the person you love Who gives you butterflies on sight The one you always talk about And dream about at night There’s something in your eyes I see It keeps the hope I have for us alive There’s something about the way you look That sends me on a ride Past the moon, past the stars, straight into my dreams I never want that something to end, but it always does it seems For now I guess I’ll play the role Of the guy who’s shoulder you use The one you tell everything to The guy you’ll never lose I’m making a promise to my heart No matter what until the end You’ll always be the one I love Even if ill always be, just another friend
