Just Be There
They all say they support you
They all say they love you
But when it comes down to it
For them it's too hard
Too hard to do what?
To love someone for who they are?
Just because I'm bisexual doesn't mean I'm subpar
It doesn't mean I like you
I'm a friend first and foremost
And that should come first
You tore my heart in two
When you said you couldn't support me
Why can't people be themselves?
Why can't they be
Free?
Struggling to hide it but now it's in the open
The past is behind us but I can't seem to move on
I'll keep singing and I'll keep dancing
I'll be me
When you figure it out though
Don't come running
Or you'll run into my tree
Just be there
Be there
For me.
