Just... because.
Just… because.
Health must falter to encourage strength.
Therefore, I see no need to label a love unhealthy or healthy....
Now,
I have found extreme genuineness in a love that revolves around
– simply –
being,
Together.
Living, breathing, laughing, experiencing this life… Together.
Till death do us part… currently.
For better or for worse… as far as I know.
As for the future… how would I know?
If even I do not know, I cannot expect you to know either.
Right at this very moment, however, I do know something:
I know that if there was an asteroid free falling straight towards where we stand, and its trade for a peaceful crash was one of our fated souls, I’d happily accept the shift into ash on the grass of our front lawn.
So currently, my love, till death do us part.
As far as I know, my dear, the future is no business of ours.
We need not concern ourselves with the road to come, for we are walking it as we speak.
We need not tangle ourselves in the façade of planning…. We are smarter than that downfall.
Others may ask, “how?”
Simple.
Because I love you.
Because I love you, I would never risk a moment with you in the present for a white picket fence dream and the self-indulgence of demanding a promise of forever from you.
Because I love you, “currently” is good enough.
Crossing each bridge as we arrive is good enough for me.
The pair of lips beaming at me as I read this out loud is enough validation for a lifetime.
My heart is beating for you, right now, and I’d have it no other way….
Because I love you.
