Just Because
Just because you're expected to dance
Doesn't mean you can't sing.
Just because it hasn't been done,
Doesn't mean it never will.
Just because you can't fly,
Doesn't mean you won't touch the sky.
Just because you don't see the wind,
Doesn't mean It's not there.
It's like breaking the rules,
Defying all odds.
It's like you asking your mom,
To do that one thing and she replies with
"If your friend jump off a bridge will you?"
Well your answer should be
Yes
Because what if the bridge
Wasn't a bridge and it was just a metaphor,
A metaphor for your limiting.
And what if under that bridge wasn't water
But all your dreams, goals, hopes, aspirations.
I bet you would choose to jump.
With a running start.
No looking back.
Jumping head first in style,
Like a synchronized swimmer,
With the biggest grin on your face.
Just because you're expected to dance
Doesn't mean you can't sing.
Just because it hasn't been done,
Doesn't mean it never will.
Just because you can't fly,
Doesn't mean you won't touch the sky.
Just because you don't see the wind,
Doesn't mean It's not there.
It's like breaking the rules,
Defying all odds.
