Just Bodies

The world is funny in a way, We all strive to be something, We don't even know what that is, but we're always striving, Longing for that next step, Disappointed when we fall short, And not pleased even when we reach expectations. What is wrong with us? We set ourselves up to fail. We are so focused on becoming something, That we forget we are nothing. We are just bodies, Roaming this thing called earth, Living this thing called life.
