Just Call me Genn

Genevieve, French name, African girl, American life style

You could never walk a mile in my shoes

Always felt like I had to prove

Am I cool enough?  Am I pretty enough?

Genevieve?

Gena who?

Just call me Genn that’s what they always do

I have a big heart

That has been torn apart

I seek for trust

But I am deceived my lust

My smile is a disguise for my pain

I want to make my mom proud

I pray my hard work doesn’t go in vein

I am strong and optimistic

I hope my dreams become realistic

Genevieve, French name, African girl, American life style.
