Just Friends

I see you walk by

I let out a sigh

And I wish I could talk to you

But you're so dang shy,

But that's the reason why

I really like you

I've known you for what seems like forever

And without you, it's never the same

Has this friendship been severed

By the long years of a childhood game?

I hope not, because I want to be friends

Something that will keep going and never end

Something that will make me smile almost every day

Because I'll be able to say, "We're just friends"
