Just a Glimpse of Me
Just a Glimpse of Me
A glimpse within my mind I often cannot findWhy does it hurt so bad to be me
What is so wrong so horribly wrong with me
Why can’t I be satisfied with what life I have
Sometimes I wish the end was near
I often live in a life time of fearSecond’s, minutes, hours are a struggle
I wonder at times what these pills will find inside
My body aches and hurts all day
These pills may help me one day
It’s an endless struggle to live in my shoesTo breathe the airI try to breathe
To blink my eyes so maybe I’ll see
In some form of some sort of way
I feel that the end is near and I’ll drift away
Just a glimpse of meSome other people have it worse than I do
But, I can only see my visions of me Why does this worldhave to always be mean
For I wish I had the answers to question I’ve sought
Only to find an empty pale at the end of my rainbow
People say I’m my worst enemy
Maybe this is true but, you brought this upon me
From a child to an adult you’ve taught me to dislike
The person inside me
Just a glimpse of me
I can’t handle another day of this
The times when I open the front door to escape
These horrible feelings inside of me I wish I could break
I wish my life made sense
I can’t handle not knowing why I’m so dense
I can’t help but permit the light to shine through
I feel so crowded I feel so dense
The pain inside me is so intense
I wish my life made some kind of sense
My mind is cluttered like damaged goods
I am a nothing
Just a glimpse of me
A sad and sore spot of nothing
Living with depression is killing me slow
How much further does one person have to go
I don’t think I can do anything right
The day’s moments are tough and not right
I look back upon where I’ve been and it’s a horrible life
Everyone seems to be so much better than meConfidence is goneI left it at the door
Just a glimpse of me
