Just Like the Greats
Shakespeare and Sophocles, I can be like them,
I, too, can write and listen and understand
If I focus on what is important, I will come out successful in the end,
I’ll be just like Antigone, and go against the trend.
Harrison Bergeron taught me to be different and fight with harangue,
I can survive even the worst situation; life won’t leave me half-hanged.
Others will judge, I may feel alone,
but I’ll look to the heroes, like a Book Thief and a clone.
Forever I will carry the memory of the greats and give the world a whirl,
Because somewhere out there, hidden away deep down, lies my pearl.
