Just hanging around

Ecclesiastes 3:1    New English Translation

A Time for All Events in Life

3 For everything, there is an appointed time,

and an appropriate time for every activity on earth:

Look at you so beautifully framed for the Everlasting

Time has disappeared somewhere in the background

I don’t know what to say as my heart is gasping

To understand the way of the Truth that still is around.

Little now seems sensible as I’m looking over my shoulder

The path I walked seemed faded as the scenery had gone

Memories disappeared for today, whereas they unfolded

With things more critical like children and the setting sun

I don’t want to be indifferent; really, I hunger for the sensitive

But daily responsibilities are molding and forcing “my” time

For me to choose and invest in trying to be the most productive

Although my heart seems shaded in this small world of mine
