Just Human

I am Human,

I make mistakes, trust the snakes,

I stumble and I jump candle sticks.

If there’s a challenge,

I’ll stand face to face.

When I fall, it never lacks depth.

It hurts even when standing tall,

Everyday anew and everyday askew.

I am not perfect, but I am human.

From a broken home, a cloak conceals the shattered hopes

Cussed at, spit at, hated or belittled

I know I am more…

I am more than dirt on your ragged, torn up, beated shoes.

I am human.

My Choices made everyday

Fade with life in everyway

Yet still they follow

To mold me less hollow…

Albeit true I am not perfect,

And part of me still runs jagged.

One thing I know is:

I am me,

I am not broken but despite it all

I am just Human
