Just As I Am
My smile is not gushy-
And it's true I bite my lip.
My eyebrows may be bushy
And there's fat around my hip.
My ears, I know they're crooked,
And my shoulders are quite wide.
My posture is not perfect
Through ev-er-y lit-tle stride.
I'm told I talk excessively
And listen some - though not enough.
I guard my thoughts protectively
And babble on of other stuff.
When others think of this-
My body and my mind-
I've learned they miss
The most beauty: what's inside.
So, I carry on through life,
Loving people and the cam.
No makeup, filter, or strife.
Because I'm beautiful - just as I am.
