Just Listen

when i cry can you see

al the pain inside of me

do you really know how long

I had to hide to prove you wrong

to lie each time you called my phone

asking if i felt alone

to wipe my tears upon my sleeve

wishing that you wouldn't leave

to paint a smile and laugh so hard

only just to fall apart

wanting help but felt a need

to help the world, but not help me

just to see a smile on you

made it so I could pull through

to hear you laugh a moment more

kept my feet here on earths' floor

to call me friend meant so much then

I just need to hear it again

please don't leave like others do

I need the friend I've found in you

the burden here is much too large

for me to carry on

please don't let me slip away

please just call me home
